Buying the right deck doesn’t just mean finding the right ride. A board is only as strong as its craftsman. When looking into new brands, there are things you should consider about them before getting invested in the products they sell. Even though something may be very appealing to you visually that does not guarantee the durability or quality of the product. At least, you shouldn't until you get a chance to learn more about the brand itself. This mostly sounds like work, and no one is into that. So for the sake of saving your time, we did some research for you. Specifically, considering our comparison criteria, one brand stood out: Stella Longboards.

Unlike all our other reviewed Stella Longboards, this model is a kicktail cruiser and features a wider tail design. This 38’ little board is compact and is always ready to cruise. This classic kicktail with a medium concave is a little shorter and has a smaller wheelbase.

Price Approx. $130

Price based on the current Amazon price, and it is subject to change. This price does not include any added tax or shipping charges.

Ease of Use

The shape of this board is vital to its agility and gives its rider more control. This compact cruiser is a great starter board for beginners and would recommend it over the longer pintail boards. Compact for easy storage or travel, and moderate comfortability while carrying.

Durability

This board is only 7 ply of pressed 100% Canadian Maple but claims the same strength in terms of deck thickness. The smaller wheelbase provides breathing room for the wheels and the longboard itself, thus resulting in significantly less wear over time preserving their durability and lifespan.

Design Quality

The elephant is designed for the lover of a good cruise. This board is a fantastic starter board and sustains durability even for a casual skater. It features a medium concave that is helpful with control, in addition to its classic Stella kicktail. 38’ makes this a shorter longboard than most and convenient for smaller builds or kids as well as storage and travel. This board model also provides a wider deck for even giant feet.

Warranty

Stella Longboards will handle your warranty information if you purchase a product from them directly. Amazon and/or individual dealers will handle other warranties, returns, or exchanges. But, for the most part, there is no information on the official Stella Longboards warranty available.

Pros

  • Classic Stella kicktail design
  • Medium concave for better control
  • Smaller wheelbase provides less strain on parts

Cons

  • Expensive for the design and quality
  • No trace of official warranty
  • Shorter longboard

Conclusion

If you are on the market for your perfect cruiser board, it would definitely be from Stella Longboards. Their boards are designed based on riding style and what the rider needs. For a durable board, you can always keep in your car or on hand, Stella Longboards is the answer. If you can live without having an official warranty on your cruiser board, they offer awesome boards for every kind of skater at a reasonable price. Stella boards can withstand constant use and most wipeouts. Do not be put off by their stock brand of wheels, they are still a great set of wheels for the casual cruiser.

But, the initial product in this review is the Celtic model longboard presented by Stella Longboards. We wanted to compare these other products to the Celtic longboard to derive scores for each one based on key points. The Celtic is not the cheapest longboard on our list, but it offers an incredibly smooth and controlled ride that you can surf the streets with. And what cruise board does not fit that criterion? The deep concave offers the most control over 46’ of longboard that anyone can handle. We rate the Stella Longboards Celtic 4.3 / 5 stars, as the brand itself does not specify any official warranty terms.
